Camping Axe / Carpenter Hatchet

As a historian and author who researches and writes about the heritage of axes, I'm extremely happy to see more products that honor the heritage of our American made axes. This new Belknap Hardware Hatchet is a great reminder of a saga of American Hardware that included the marketing of beautiful, hand crafted tools that showed the craftsmanship of American makers, the complexity of the early American industrial economy, and the perseverance of families such as the Belknaps over numerous financial panics, Wars, and the Great Depression! I'd love to see a full sized axes come next in a line of neo-products!

This is the best camping axe that I have ever owned. I live in Alaska and this thing gets a heavy workout. It is the best kindling splitting tool. I never leave home without it. I absolutely love this hatchet. I fully endorse Belknap Hardware.
